Edwin Onyango, B.Sc. Logistics - Deputy Head and P.A to the Director

Edwin Odhiambo Onyango joined the Language School in Kenya in 2015, while we were operating from Rosa Mystica Spiritual Centre, Riara Road. When we moved to Chania Road in Kilimani, Edwin followed and continued to work with us.

He has a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Bondo.

He likes travelling, making friends and listening to Gospel music. He also likes cooking.

His amiable personality makes him very likeable and popular with his students and colleagues. He teaches Level A1 - B1 English and Kiswahili languages, and handles general administrative duties. He deputizes the Director of the School and also acts as his PA. 

The soft-spoken Edwin enjoys taking Kenyan tea with mandazi or KDF.

George Oloo, B.Ed. - Head of English Department and IELTS Training

George Oloo joined Language School in Kenya in 2017. Previously, George has worked in different language schools in Nairobi, such as the ACK Language & Orientation School and Language Solutions & Business Administration where he taught English various levels. He specializes in Intermediate and Advanced English (Level B1-C1).

He has a Bachelor or Education Degree from Africa Nazarene University - SNE (Inclusive Education).

He brings on board a rich, multi-cultural experience of more than 10 years teaching English as a foreign language, whereby he has interacted with hundreds of students from several countries.

He also prepares students taking the IELTS tests at the British Council since 2017. He has a record of up to Band Score 8 in Academic IELTS and band score 8.5  in General IELTS.

George likes watching and training football and other physical activities.

Carren Nyakerario, B.Ed ECDE, - Head of Kiswahili Department.

Carren Joined Language School in Kenya in 2015. Previously, she has worked in different schools, notably, Mama Grace Wahu Primary School. She has a broad teaching experience in Kiswahili language from Level A1 to B2.

She brings on board an experience of more than 20 years in teaching.

She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and several other professional qualifications.

The soft-spoken Carren loves meeting new people, making friends, listening to gospel music.

Charlene Decy, B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry - Head of Foreign Languages.

Decy Awour joined Language School in Kenya in 2018. Previously, she worked in different language schools in Nairobi, such ACK Language & Orientation School and Assoluta Atelier, teaching Spanish Languages, where she gained extensive experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language. She has also lived in Spanish speaking countries.

She has  extensive experience as a Spanish language instructor, translator and interpreter.

She holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, and several diplomas in Spanish language.

She teaches Spanish from level A1 to C1 and English from level A1 to B1.

Ever smiling, Decy loves meeting new people, making friends, laughing and story-telling. She also appreciates locally brewed Kenyan tea and chapatis.

 

Bethel Mbula Sammy - B.A Kiswahili

Bethel Mbula Sammy joined the Language School of Kenya as an intern in February 2019. 

She is a graduate of Moi University and has Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kiswahili, with specialization in  Translation and Interpretation.

She teaches Kiswahili as a foreign language from Level A1 to C1.

Beth, as we call her, likes reading, writing poetry, music and meeting new people.

She also loves tea and KDF.
 

 

Faith Kamau - P.A to the director.

Faith joined Language School in Kenya in 2015.

Marion Nanjala - B.A Kiswahili

Marion joined the Language School of Kenya as an intern in February 2019. 

She is a graduate of Moi University and has Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kiswahili, with specialization in  Translation and Interpretation.

She teaches Kiswahili as a foreign language from Level A1 to C1.

Shakola, as we sometimes call her, likes singing and listening to gospel music, making friends and meeting new people.

She also loves tea and KDF.

Mercy Anapart - B.Ed. English & Literature

Mercy joined the Language School of Kenya in 2016. Previously, she taught English in several schools in the Mombasa county and also at ACK Language & Orientation School in Nairobi, where she gained extensive experience teaching English and Kiswahili as foreign languages. 

She is a graduate of Kenyatta University and has Bachelor of Education Degree in English and Literature.

She teaches English as a second language and Kiswahili as a foreign language from Level A1 to C1.

She likes travelling, dancing and listening to music, making friends and meeting new people. She also loves cooking and is a great cook. She loves coastal dishes.

Joel Momanyi Osiemo - PGD - Cross-Cultural Studies, Nigeria, DALF C2, DFA C2 (CIEP - Paris, France) -Director and Head of Training and Development.

Joel joined the Language School in Kenya in 2015 after a 2 year stint in Nigeria, where he  taught English as a second language at Redeemed Christian College of Missions. He has  also taught English at ACK Language & Orientation School in Nairobi - where he has the Head of Foreign Languages. While at ACK, he gained extensive experience teaching English and French to international students.

Joel brings on board a wide multi-cultural experience from his interactions with a wide audience and from his travels. 

He is the director of the school and also enjoys teaching French, English and Kiswahili as second languages and can handle Level A1 to C1.

He likes travelling, IT, computers, watching documentaries, news and current affairs, religion, making friends and meeting new people.  He is also a great farmer with interests in Agribusiness. He loves to grow tomatoes, onions and other horticultural crops.

He serves as the Head of Training at Development and Chief translator at the school.
